Thanks for replies. Trying to figure a better way to get the herd thru winter. Been doing it with just hay and purina wind rain mineral, and purina tubs but would like to do it cheaper.

Whats everyone feeding to their herds of cow calf this winter? Or supplementing with?

Thanks for the info everyone. Local dealerships Agpro never has anything of interest to me, and salespeople dont seem interested in helping me either. Bought 5 new tractors in the last 15 yrs. Merry Christmas.

I had a polaris ranger 1000 crew that was good. It got burnt up in a fire this fall. Gonna probably buy a Gravely sxs before long. It has parts that are stamped Polaris. Friends have a dealership with good support, so Im gonna try to do business with them.

I was at the sale Nov 21,2023. They had a little celebration for the stockyard being 85yrs old and they gave away some turkeys and other door prizes. Mr Dean Williams one of the owners gave a speech and a history lesson. It was pretty interesting. Bought some 3n1s. 1700 a piece. Young.

I have bought bulls at this sale in the past with no minimum price but I guess things have changed.

Thanks Mr Warren, I think I'm sold out. Haybroker has already sent 200 out of my barn hay. Gonna feed outside hay to my cows. Bought 5 pairs at athens, tn Tuesday.

I wont sell the old hay, to ashamed to sell something that bad looking, stored outside. Started feeding it. I think I have all barn hay sold, about 2,000 rolls. Fingers crossed.

When u still have 500 from last year spoiling it is.

Got thru rolling last week. Still got about 75 rolls to haul. Had a guy come look at my hay, said he would take it all, shipping it to Missouri I believe. Hope so. Paid for first load today and loaded it up today.

Fescue mix hay all rolled 4x5s Mr Allison. 2,050 so far this year and still rolling. Gonna try to buy some pairs tomorrow at Athens Tn, if I can get a going, I work nite shift tonite.
