    Is pinkeye an issue for you, Murray? I have to vaccinate my baby calves for pinkeye. Come late summer they will all have it. Doesn't seem to bother my cows or older animals.

    Rising2KRanch - If you find an answer, I would like to know what it is. My baby calves will eat wood shake shingles off the side of an old building. Never seen the cows do it. Haven't seen the calves at it for a while.... I did give the group a high magnesium tub a few weeks ago.

    I thought the working theory was a common water source, used by both cattle and birds, led to the avian influenza A H5N1 spread to cattle. The virus in cattle is now called "bovine influenza A virus." This is based on what I have read and seen in the news.
