Woke up to 14 inches of nice wet snow and it hasn’t quit. Supposed to snow through Sunday. After weeks of nothing but wind we needed it! Good timing too, just finished spreading fertilizer yesterday.
Neighbor had these. I think pro line may have sold to Robbins. https://robbinsfarmeq.com/design.htm
The D&M feeders sound like they might be a better price. They’re all made in Oregon.
We used to have 2 of them. Not sure what happened to the other but it was green and probably was an old military truck. This one could be too but I don’t know. They made this style for quite a few years. I believe this one was made in the early 60’s
Thanks for the votes! I thought that was a good subject and figured there’d be more entries.
We fed cows with that old power wagon for a lot of years. We used to use it to pull stuck machinery out also. It had a real strong winch. The old winch broke so I put a new one on, it didn’t last long...
I can't get my cows to eat more than 25-27 lbs of hay a day. They're good sized cows and we get plenty cold here at 8000 feet elevation. And they’re in good shape.
Thats chilly! We started out with a wind chill of -28. We had -29 Monday. But after the sun came up today we had a ground blizzard with winds over 80 mph.
