Top Bull:

Lot 75 -- $1,275 � Ellis BC Blackbird K68. A 5-3-00 son of Back Creek Alliance sold to Mayhew Koellein, Dickson, Tenn.

This was the third annual sale for Garland and Beverly Ellis and by far the best to date. A standing room only crowd gathered on a blue sky day to select cattle that were in excellent condition. Many of the bred heifers already calved to the very popular performance bulls, Larks Canyon 74D4. Many of the older split off calves were by the Ellis senior herd sire, Ankonian Elixir 102, a full brother to Ankonian Elixir 100. The offspring of 102 were in high demand. Many repeat buyers were on hand for this successful event.
