A cold and wet Ozark Saturday didn't seem to bother the 600+ people who packed in to the sale barn to make the 12th Annual Production Sale the most successful. Twenty-three states are now home to 385, 2R branded Registered Red Angus. Repeat customer, Parker Ranch L.P., Kyle Parker, Booneville, Ark., was volume buyer of four bulls and two heifers, totaling $48,375. Other volume buyers include: Wood Red Angus, Mike Wood, Park Hill, Okla. Gerald Lewis, Gilbert, Ariz., purchased 14 head, Jim Kolle, Inez, Texas, purchased 11 head and E.L. Renshaw, Birch Tree, Mo. purchased 12 head.
Wood Red Angus purchased Lot 6, the high selling bull, LSF Classic Canyon 3037N (BFCRK Cherokee Canyon 4912 X BJR Make My Day 981 Cow) for $20,000. Lot 17, NSF Stacked Up N030 (Bieber Make Mimi 7249 X NSF Millenium Cow) sold to Parker Ranch for $17,000. Parker Ranch also purchased Lot 3, LSF Rojo Grande 3013N (Lchmn Grand Canyon 1244G X LSF Raindance K1432), for $16,500. Lot 18, NSF GO TO N395 (Bieber Make Mimi 7249 X NSF Millenuim Cow) sold to first time customer, Lazy T3 Red Angus, Errol Fritz, Chester, Mont., for $10,000.
Another repeat customer, Cretoria Reynolds, Neosho, Mo. bought the high selling bred heifer, Lot 259, MS NSF LaRoca M827 (NSF LaRoca H284 X MS NSF BufCrk D083), and one of the high selling yearling heifers, Lot 308, MS NSF Mimi N004 (Bieber Make Mimi 7249 X MS NSF Proof L134) both for $2,800. Mike Wood purchased yearling heifer, Lot 307, MS NSF Mimi N054 (Bieber make Mimi 7249 X MS NSF Project L398) for $2,750.
