Sales results for the Columbia Livestock Market of Lake City, Florida 5th Annual Brangus/Angus Invitational Bull Sale January 8, 2005.

The total sale was $133,850 for 57 bulls for an average of 2,350/head. The top Brangus bull was sired by Cadence of Salacoa offered by Owens Brangus Farm owner John Owens from, Armuchee, Ga. selling for $3,600. The top Angus bull sired by Meldon's Traveler was sold by Thad Rush from Rome, Ga.s for $3,000.

There were five Brangus breeders presenting 37 bulls and one Angus breeder with 20 bulls.

The sale arena was filled with over 250 people attending lunch and the sale. There were 68 registered buyers with 34 purchasers going home with one to five bulls.
