On Wednesday, October 26 at the 2005 Edisto Forage Bull Test Sale, the 44 bulls brought $101,650 � an average of $2,310.23 per bull. Buyers were from South Carolina (41 bulls) and North Carolina (3 bulls). Volume buyer was Lewis Farms at Chester, S.C. with four bulls. On Monday before the sale, the bulls averaged 625 days old, 54.3� tall, 5.7 frame score, 1,606 pounds and 37.0 cm scrotal circumference. In 22 Edisto sales, 978 bulls have been sold for $2,107,075 � an average of $2,154.47 per bull.

The high-selling bull and the new Angus sale record at Edisto was Fox Run Farms' 29 Angus bull going for $5,900 to Cedar Ridge Simmental at Gray Court, S.C. for it's SimAngus breeding program. Randall Farms top-indexing 58 black Gelbvieh bull was the second-high selling bull at $5,500 to Wilburn Farms at Union, S.C. This was a new Gelbvieh sale record at Edisto. Cedar Creek Farms' 15 Angus bull was the third high seller at $4,100 to Thrailkill Farms at Fort Lawn, S.C. The top 11 selling bulls averaged $3,736.36 per bull.
