Mt. Sterling, Ky.

A good crowd was on hand for the Bluegrass Fall Invitational Sale in Mt. Sterling, Ky. This sale featured the dispersal of the J&D Kerstiens spring calving herd and the dispersal of the Gelbvieh Bar None fall calving herd.

Topping the sale offering at $4,000 was Lot 45/45A. Leo Phillips Gelbvieh Farm of Lexington had the winning bid on JKAN Jaguar 16MD, a JDKG Soggy 52J daughter of out a Paramont Ambush 2172 female. At her side was a Balancer heifer calf sired by Newsline. The cow sold bred back to FHG Flying H EC/7H 298P.

Chiming in at $2,800 was Lot 60/60A, JBGG 301N, an RTC Atlas daughter with a NORD Nagurski daughter. Brian Salyer of Virginia was the winning bidder. Salyer struck again at $2,500 for Lot 76/76A. This JBOB Black Image Female sold with a Carolina Fortune heifer calf at side and was bred back to Carolina CPR.

David Allison of Kentucky bid $2,500 for Lot 94, a homozygous black Balancer bred heifer. EGL Sleep Nights, a calving ease Angus bull, sired this heifer out of a HARB Cincha Balancer female. She sold bred to MYTTY In Focus.

Gelbvieh Bar None of North Carolina bid $2,400 for Lot 10, HHF Ms Black Onyx G17. This daughter of HHF D8 goes back to HHF Polled Summit and HHF W21 Polled Patriot on the bottom side.

Rounding out the top lots was Lot 79/79A from Hood-Richman Farms. Leo Phillips Gelbvieh Farm bid $2,300 for this homozygous black, homozygous polled Balancer daughter with a Goldrush Visa calf at side.
