September 27, in the midst of rising input costs and an unstable economy, Salacoa Valley Farm sold 125 bulls that grossed $263,825 for an average of $2,111.
ABS Global, Inc., from DeForest Wisconsin, purchased the high selling bull, lot 26, SVF Mr Cadence 23S86, with a winning bid of $10,000. This all around performance standout excels in every aspect of the beef industry. Second high selling bull was lot 70, SVF Mr Elixir 99S23, going for $7,000 to ABS Global. This son of the proven, high accuracy sire, PR Elixir 698L3, was a crowd favorite because of his calving ease and IMF advantages.
The bidding was brisk from the very start, and several bulls sold to repeat customers from Florida, Alabama, and Georgia. Buyers and bidders from eight states were represented.
