Franklin, Ky
This was Konow Farms Inc. 5th production sale. Sale day was a perfect early spring day in Franklin, Ky. The sale crowd was greeted by a display of top prospects, chock full of performance and data, which the buyers accepted well.
Top Lots:
Lot 3 -- Open Heifer. KFI Ultraviolet 53 U. This big bold heifer with a superior set of EPD's and Igenity numbers went to Z7 Bar Ranch, Pawhuska, Okla., for $3,000.
Lot 49 -- Top Bred Heifer. KFI Twilight 48 T, a homozygous female with top score of EPD's and Ingenity, due to calve to WPS Black Gold, sold to Colmore Farms for $3,000.
Lot 53 -- Top 1st Calf Heifer Pair. KFI Trace 32 T with heifer calf at side, sold to Don Richardson, Monticello, Ky. for $3,000.
Lot 12 -- KFI Usher 11 U. Weighed in at 1,390 lbs. sale day. Sold to repeat buyer Giger Cattle Co. from Elmdale, Kansas for $2,600.
Lot 9 -- A black homozygous bull that weighed 1,530 lbs. sale day. Sold to Charles Boles, Fountain Run, Ky., for $2,500.
