C.L. and Joyce Cook, owners of Bricton Farm, held their 10th Annual Performance Bull Sale on Saturday January 21, 2012 at the farm in Social Circle, Ga.
There were 53 buyers from Georgia, South Carolina and Florida who participated in the sale.
The top selling Angus bull of the day was Lot 23 sired by Upward 307R and sold to Don Bowman of Iva, S.C., for $4,500.
Lot 3 sired by SAV Final Answer sold to Lindy Sheppard of Sylvania, Ga., for $4,300.
Lot 5 sired by CRA Bextor 872 sold to George Bowman of Iva, S.C., for $4,000.
Top selling commercial pairs were lots 15 & 16 both purchased by Dewey Sheriff of Eastonallee, Ga., for $1,700 each.
Top selling commercial bred heifers were lots 10 & 11 both purchased by William Clay Sims of Monroe, Ga., for $1,200 each.
Top selling commercial open heifer was lot 6 purchased by Don Bell of Toccoa, Ga., for $900.
