My scenario, goes back to my Bulls thread

If sight unseen, why was money paid before delivery?

Give the guy a week to make it right or you will go public. Let him know that up front. Also, what value are we talking about?

My scenario, goes back to my Bulls thread

Sight unseen sales are usually satisfaction on delivery. Not understanding if you bought the bull in person and if the bull was insured or not. Had a bull purchased sight unseen this winter from a seed stock producer I have dealt with for 30 years have one testicle degenerate before delivery...

    New generation

Unassisted calving, nice udder on mom, lots of growth traits. Would you use this calf for a herd sire?

    Baldy calf

Looks like nice feed. A tinge of green here but another frost will change that. We need some moisture here badly.

    Bull shopping

Birthdate, birthweight, 205 day adj weaning weight, gain on whatever feed program they are on as compared to pen mates, yearling weight are the only numbers I am really concerned with. Then we start with feet, legs and ease of travel. Any of these missing and the rest of the bull is useless...

My error but I didn’t have the sound on. I assumed the narrator of posts was calving in spring. Weaning 900 lb calves at 205 days in mid winter just became more expensive.

For August, those cows are thin, not shed off and short of copper. Calves are far shy of 900 lbs.

    Production sale

You mean you feed some Angus cattle to grow artificially. I doubt your bulls would last the first season here. At 77 you are likely a little set in your ways to see the commercial guys want their cattle to perform on grass in the summer and not be creep fed and feed the cows all summer too. My...
