    I don't carry everyday but when I do it's just a little 380.

    Tennessee Tuxedo

What's the deal buddy. Every time you post a one line follow up comment about a 1000 word post seems the new MOD locks the thread. I think you need to make your posts longer more full of BS instead of being so direct and to the point.

    I'M HENRY THE 8TH

Anyone else noticed how many professional athletes now have II,III, IV etc. at the end of their names on their jerseys?? Many years ago if there was more than one generation with the same name you would just be a "Jr". Now ever since Robert Griffin, III started playing in the NFL many have...

    250 Day Mineral Bolus...

Amazing Cargill would point out the short comings of their loose mineral in order to promote the bolus. Wondering how this works. Why does it not pass through the animal like all other feed stuffs. Seems it would have to lay in the rumen with slow release action in order to last 250 days.

    FarmersOnly.Com

Would someone call these folks and see if you can find some companionship for Cross-7. The guy is about to lose it I'm afraid and needs some "relief". :lol2: :lol2:

    How Good is My Hay

Many on the board often question how to determine hay quality etc. There is only one way to know for certain and that is with a hay test. Below is a link to what I consider the best forage testing laboratory in the country. The price is very reasonable AND they will furnish you sample bags and...

    Army Worms

Mowed the lawn today and probably killed a few thousand army worms. Didn't even bother to walk out in the pasture. I think I could hear them marching and chewing. :???:

    Veterinary Feed Directive

Don't know how many of you have read up on the VFD going into affect at the end of the year but here is a link to a site with a lot of Q&A's which might help you out. For those that do not really have a working relationship with a veterinarian I'm hearing people talk of charges of as much as...

    Feral Hogs

Some research being done in Texas for feral hog control. Looks like it might be promising if they can get it approved by the tree huggers. http://www.inquisitr.com/1313505/scient ... ervatives/

    Masons

A few comments were made a few weeks ago concerning Masons and I got to wondering if we had any Masons on the forum and what your opinions are of the order as well as any contact or interaction you had with a Mason at some time in the past. Seems a lot of folks are very leary of them. I'll admit...

Will This Really Be The Future??

In 1998, Kodak had 170,000 employees and sold 85% of all photo paper worldwide. Within just a few years, their business model disappeared and they went bankrupt. What happened to Kodak will happen in a lot of industries in the next 10 year - and most people don't see it coming. Did you think in...

    How Expensive is "Cheap" Hay

Don't know how many of you read the articles on the homepage of CT but thought this article by Dr. Blezinger fit in well with the discussion last week concerning buying "a few bales to get me through" and apply it to all hay purchasing.

    Grazing winter wheat

A lot of folks down this way will turn cattle in on winter wheat or rye for just a couple hours a day then move them to another pasture. They can suck up quite a bit in that time and the stuff is very high in protein. Just let it compliment the hay.

    Civil War

Anybody watching "The Civil War" on the PBS channel? It's a series, no idea how many episodes there will be but so far each is 2 hrs. long. Filled with information, some good historians, lots of terrible pictures but good. Might have to catch it on a rerun now if you missed it.

    Ranch Work

I sent this link to CB because this ranch "High Card Ranch" is located where his grandson is probably going to attend college next year. Some good old style cattle working on it. What kind of cattle are these?? Looks like a combination of several. https://vimeo.com/45840731
