Need Help - Trailer Brake Wiring on Cattle Trailer

I think I need professional help :D I think it's time to take it in and have someone diagnose the problem. Seems to me that the break controller wouldn't even come into play on a 5 pin connection as the only signal going back to the trailer is on the red wire coming from the brake lights.

Need Help - Trailer Brake Wiring on Cattle Trailer

With my other trailer, the brake controller shows a green continuity light as soon as the trailer cable is plugged in. With this trailer, the continuity light never comes on and yes, when I push on the brake pedal the controller shows the braking level.

Need Help - Trailer Brake Wiring on Cattle Trailer

I'm guessing possibly that he has his brake controller output (which normally would go to the brake pin) going to the red wire and the brakes and stop lights are both using the red wire. Would this make sense? So I would have to connect my truck brake controller output to the red wire as well.

Need Help - Trailer Brake Wiring on Cattle Trailer

I borrowed a friends 27 foot/dual axle cattle trailer and found at it uses a round 6 pin connector for the electrical connections. I thought to myself, that's not a problem I'll just buy an adaptor and be on my way. So I plug in the adaptor and quickly realize that I don't have any trailer...

    Moving Round Bales

Just an update on my experience with the Bale Buster. 1. They bale spear was not a solid piece of stock and bent on a heavy bale 2. I had to have all the joints welded to keep it from flexing and coming apart. 3. I bent the tow bar backing into a bale that was frozen to the ground last year...

    Moving Round Bales

I purchased the Bale Buster and I'm happy with the purchase. Here are some of my observations: 1. The assembly instructions did not match the parts I was sent. Clearly the product has been changed and the instructions never updated. 2. I would have used pins instead of bolts to form the pivot...

    Moving Round Bales

Just looked up the spec on the tractor: Tractor Weight Weight w/ Ag Tires w/ ROPS 3042 lbs. Lift Capacity, 24" aft of hitch, lb(kg) 1764 lbs. I'm guessing I would need a lot of weight up front to handle a 1600-2000lb bale on the back. The bale would weight more than half the tractor's...

    Moving Round Bales

I have a 30HP Kioti but the loader specs are for 1200lb max at the bucket and the bale spear would force the weight out beyond that. I just didn't want to over do it. I know these bales weight at least 1600lbs dry. Jerry

    Moving Round Bales

My tractor is too small to move the large 1600 pound large bales and I was looking at two options. I have a one ton pickup. Option #1 - Tumble Bug or Bale Buster (see links below) http://www.beavervalleysupply.com/sectionc/tumblebug.htm http://www.balebuster.com/ Option #2 - Easy Loader (see...
