How to fix a galvanized stock tank?

I bought one on sale once. They said it had a leak. I took it home and my daughter spotted the leak pretty quick. I used NP-1. My roofer uses it to seal roof vents. Seems to have worked very well. Just make sure it's clean before applying it.

Critique this bull calf. 10 month old Beefmaster.

Thank you for the honest opinion. I was wondering if those shoulders should be a concern or if they might catch up later. After looking at several pictures of him I can't convince myself that those shoulders are thick enough. Sounds like you had the same concern about them so I'll probably...

Critique this bull calf. 10 month old Beefmaster.

I guess I thought I had made up my mind to just put out black calves but I've always noticed how Beefmasters seem to flesh out pretty well on just grass. I'm hoping to produce calves that'll finish out well on grass alone so kind of thinking about going with a beefmaster bull.

    Replacement females???

Sounds like each has their own preference and if it works then there's nothing wrong with it. My favorites currently are the quarter ears. I also have a few angus or Brangus mutts that produce a decent calf every year. I don't do this for a living so I do enjoy developing my own herd. As...

    Replacement females???

I totally understand the addiction to raising your own line. I happened to see my cows today. Figured I'd snap a few pics. The cow closer to the camera is my favorite. The honed heifer is going on 2 yrs old and due to calve in April. I kept her little sister last year also but she...

    Replacement females???

I do have one heifer that I kept that is due to calve in a couple months. I kept her sister last year also. I didn't realize that such a high percentage of y'all preferred raising your own but I definitely understand why. The Strategy that I've been moving towards is to keep a small herd...

    Replacement females???

What's your preference for obtaining replacement females? I have a small commercial herd. Mostly I've bought cows that have had a calf or two previously. The problem that I run into most often with buying cows is that they seem to have been sold because they don't breed back promptly. I...
