I'd have to agree that with cows having to cover so much ground to find forage that they are unlikely to acquire a worm load easily... but that assumes they aren't already full of worms. With sparce grass I'd definitely worm anything newly acquired before release.

Speaking of working facilities... Have any of you seen any built with vertical uprights instead of the typical horizontals between posts? LOL... I've hauled a lot of cows in trailers I bought for $100 and had to find wheels and tires, and put a floor in before I could use it.

The point is... we find a way. Being negative and throwing our hands in the air gets nothing done.

Neighbors? Church? Feed store? Hell, even make a deal with the trailer dealer to rent a used trailer.

Talk to the local sale barn. They usually know several people that regularly attend sales from every direction, so can put you in touch with someone close to you.

That's probably more true today than what my folks said, "All hat and no cattle." Not nearly as many people wearing Stetsons and a lot more baseball caps.
