If we fill up all of the storage facilities for jet fuel how will this affect gasoline products. A barrel of oil has several products that can be refined from it I understand and I am probable wrong you have to take each component in relation ship to the refining process.

It doesn't have much in a complex refinery as you can convert 92% of the barrel to gasoline. We have had the technology since before WWII to convert gas oil to gasoline using Catalytic Cracking Units. We can put propane and butane together on Alkalation to make gasoline.
Diesel hydrocrackers to convert diesel boiling range fuels to gasoline or charge stock for Cyclic Reforming Units to make high octane gasoline and Aromatics like Benzene Toluene and Xylene that goes to chemicals.
Lastly Resid Hydro cracking and Delayed Coker's converting the last drop to fuel leaving coke a coal like substance.

A single train or simple refinery gets about 40% of the barrel to gasoline.

I was hoping this was going to be a thread about torching open a jet fuel tank. We could use some more light-hearted entertainment around here.

I have retrieved more than one man after being torched by a batch of JP-4,JP-5 or JP-8.

I filled it with water, hooked a hose to the tailpipe on my 4-wheeler stuck it in there. Then I paid the kid down the road 20 bucks to make the first torch cut....... Safety first around here

Why the hose in the tail pipe?

To purge with inert gas while cutting.
Today just happens to be the 15 th anniversary of 15 body bags with 180 injuries when hydrocarbons, oxygen and a heat source get together.

I thought that might be the case but wasn't sure.
