Has anyone had success no tilling brome? I have some fields with a few bare spots due to some weather problems shortly after planting. I only cut hay on these field and want to thicken the stand. I've thought about mixing in some timothy as well. Any thoughts on that?

For brome you want the seed jus tbarely covered, 1/4 inch seems to be too much. Might be better to just broadcast it and scratch it in with something

Thanks Dun. It always makes me nervous to broadcast grass seed. I had good luck with drilling in a prepared seedbed the first time. I just don't want to work it up again. I have a chain link harrow that should do the job. I'm not doing anything until September.
