Anybody make turtle stew? Used to have a neighbor that made it.
Almost 20 years ago, I was driving on US441 in north Georgia behind a big dump truck. Wife had a minivan then, so fairly high clearance. The dump truck straddles the biggest snapping turtle I have ever seen and no time to adjust my course. Bang, that turtle hits hard and loud under the minivan. How big do those things get? That one looked to be way bigger than 2 foot diameter and probably at least a foot tall.
