55 cents a day yardage plus feed.

Will target the steers for 2.5 lbs per day and heifers for 2 lbs. Sell steers at 800 lbs and heifers at 750.

Induction fee including Draxxin is about $30 per head.
I was a little miffed with the auction yard feeding fees.. 14 calves, feed and water overnight, $100... and you know they aren't getting well fed either.. My total deductions were $400 I think

Backup - are you saying you bought them for $0.44/# and $0.48/#??? Holy moly.

You had better reread the post Jeanne, use the bottom half of the bifocals this time! :D

My steer pen weighed 488 going in and cost $2.1675

Heifers weigh 423 and cost $2.01

LOL - you wrote:
"The steers weighed 489 lbs, 91 were from one contributor and 11 from another. They cost $216.25"
I took that "literally"!!! sorry about that! It wasn't mis-read - just misunderstood!
Edit: If it was $144.25 or $156.25 I might have caught it, but we aren't thinking in the $2 range (I know - Canadian - but that's still really high for what we are selling for.)
