Just curious what type of vaccination program people use on their herd.

What type of vaccines do you use for your herd, modified live, killed, or none?

We use a killed vaccine on everything (cows and calves)
Virashield 6 + VL5
Electroid 7 (blackleg)

Research shows that killed only lasts a few months, it's more expensive & needs booster.
MLV "MAY" last a lifetime, but I still use it yearly. If you use Pfizer's product BoviShield, you can vaccinate your calves while they are still nursing IF YOU VACCINATE THE COWS prior to rebreeding. This way the calves can get the immunity prior to the stress of weaning.

MLV. Follow the Bovi-Shield Gold program. Have a set breeding system so I can use it. Use the FP for fetal protection. Can be given to calves nursing bred cows if they were vaccinated with it. I used to use the Virus-Shield also. I will say I have less sick calves now.
