I hand mix a different feed mix for starting calves out with some sweet feed added to the mix. Been thinking about looking for a large used Job Box type chest to keep this mix in. Feed it out in 5 gallon buckets anyway and seems like it would be better than barrels. Opinions?
I would like to poll fellow CT forum members on small 8-12 wheel carted wheel rakes with kicker wheel/wheels, used in grass hay. All rakes are close in price and come from good dealers. Comments are welcome.

As some has mentioned the 8 foot machine would be a good size and would be as easy to get down the road as a 7 foot mower, but you are gaining a lot more mechanical parts to gain a extra foot of cutting capacity. The 8' mower gains 2 gearboxes, 2 cross shafts, 2 blades and a stump jumper.
One thing that concerns me on the Bush Hog 320 series is that most of the frame is actually under the deck. You gotta wonder what happens to the frame if the blades get pushed up.
I have experience with both 3 point & pickup mowers. I have found the pull models work better for me on the hills of east Tennessee. Pull models seem to make the tractor more stable on the steeper hills. About the only reason for me to have a 3 point mower would be to save money since the 3...
