coffee is ready, have a cup

My wife drinks them. I don't mind them, but I try to minimize carbs and sugar, so no go for me.

Keeping the road from rolling up

Montana and Dakotas have been getting all the low pressure systems. We have been at the southern side of the lows and all we get is wind out of those. Been hauling to my summer lease pastures this week. Looks like August or worse. What is sort of green doesn't have much to it. Cows have...

Keeping the road from rolling up

Wind has been a bastard most of May and dry as a popcorn fart around here. Maybe 50% of usual forage production. Drought Monitor had us in the D0 zone last week. It has to be getting into D1 or D2. They are always about a month behind on their classifications. We left a lot of feed on our...

    Daily Chuckle

I saw one on Facebook had the "C" word on the tag in all caps loaded in a trailer and looked mean as h#ll.

    ATV

I think in Wyoming it is considered a motor vehicle and sales tax is due when title is transferred at county clerk's office. Now if the buggy will never leave the place and be run til it dies, who needs a title or to pay sales tax? However, with a loan on it, the bank is going to want to hold...

I am usually pretty happy with 4-5 years on Mr. Coffee drip machines. May last longer with more regular vinegar douche applications. Eight years is pretty impressive.

    Summer weather predictions

We moved into "abnormally dry" status on Drought Monitor this week.

    Summer weather predictions

El Nino is usually bad for us. Dry hot summers. Looking kind of sorry this spring after record rainfall last spring. We only need an inch or two in next couple weeks to turn it around and have a strong grass crop.

    Too close for comfort.

Better check you exclusions from coverage - probably does not cover injuries from working livestock.

Some guys by my old place had buffs. They would run through a fence into the neighbors and he would get on his motorcycle and get them on the run and they would run through a different spot to go back home. Lots of fence fixing. All the neighbors were happy when they sold out the buffs...

Would like a shot of that down here. Grass wants to take off, but needs a good inch of precip to really get going. Last time we had a puddle in the road across the meadow was a month ago.

    Best Bull names you've heard....

The "Hedgehog" was about the same time frame. LOL

What color would you call this cow?

Sh#tmuckle brown is the official name for that color.

    Sun over us

Gotta help the local UPS and FedEx delivery guys. Have pulled a couple out in my yard when snow gets out of hand. Sometimes the tires aren't too good for off pavement on those rigs.

Conifer encroachment is a bad thing on Western range lands. Lack of fire has let juniper move into sagebrush steppe.

    Oregon Farms under attack?

I'm sure it was put out there just to gauge the push back then partially withdrawn to make the bureaucrats look reasonable.
