I have heard a few people in the past say that a fall herbicide application helps with buttercup the next year. My thought is if it works it would possibly help with fields that are too wet in the spring. What would the best time to do it be?

It would take something with a long residual. As much rain as we get in the winter, I doubt any residual would still have any effectiveness by spring. Somehow, I don't have any bulbous buttercup problems anywhere, but high traffic areas. I hit them with 2 four D, and they melt pretty quick. If it's to wet to get across, then I guess that's a different story.
