Favorite wood to burn.........

Help Support CattleToday:

Been burning Osage Orange all winter. After all the post were cut out, this is what was left. Some say they have trouble keeping a chain sharp cutting hedge. I have a couple of saws with .325 chain (Husky and Sachs Dolmar) that I sharpen myself and can cut all I can stand without stopping to sharpen them. Only time I've ever noticed a difference is when I found about 40 hedge post back in the overgrowth that must have been there on the ground 30 years.

Backhoeboogie, you should get 60 days in jail for burning pecan would in a stove, best cooking wood out there and your burning it in a wood stove.
I have used pecan to cook with but I have burned a bunch of it in the fire place also, plentiful around here. I even tried pecan hulls in my smoked , wasn't good made food taste like green persimmons.
