It's Western red cedar, might be different than what in your area.
Forget the posts and make something of value (or have it made). Somebody somewhere would pay good shekels for a cedar chest
or cabinet or ?. The post might last 2 years depending where it is set. Good Luck,,,
Hmmm. We started fencing 10 years ago. While all of our treated TSC purchased posts are still in great shape, the cedars I have used are even better. So much so I have abandoned using the $15 posts and now jump in the Mule and harvest cedars. Wife is pretty happy about the cost, too.
