Here is the receipt for two gallons of milk I bought last week. Seems to be holding at $1.25 gallon. I've been upping my consumption trying to help the dairyman via the supply and demand thing. My dog is happy and thinks I'm a god because he's now getting two bowls a day. Water is a buck a gallon. This doesn't make sense to me.

You live in a high rent district, everyone in Florida is well to do.

Yeah, we are just poor folks here and can't afford to shop at Whole Foods.

Good thing you have a green thumb, you work to hard to qualify for food stamps.

But I identify as one who does qualify for food stamps so its obviously a clear case of discrimination which makes me feel so marginalized. And I'm still waiting on my free phone!

If anyone is truly suffering right now it's the dairy farmers. But as in all situations, ones loss is another's gain. Just ask your dog!

2% or whole? I use to drink a lot, but anymore a gallon probably would last me a week. Those dairy farmers I would say are on a very tight profit margin if any. It is a 7 day a week job milking twice a day and a lot of the other time making/buying feed for the cows.

If I'm buying I buy whole but the sweet smelling one buys 2%. Same price for either.

That is a crazy price! $1.25 a gallon?! Here, on average, it is about $2.69. Depends on where one shops.

I agree but what's really crazy is when you compare this milk price t that of bottled water. Just doesn't make sense to me.
