Stand your ground shooter charged

Help Support CattleToday:

I find it interesting that some here take the side of the bully with a gun who murdered the man who was defending the mother of his children while at the same time claiming a man was justified in taking another man's life for going to the ladies room, something that will largely become the norm in the not too distant future.

And there will be more beat downs by folks that think it's not right.

My reading comprehension isn't very good. But I never read where the guy reported anything to security. He told security to do your job or I will. That was after the Security guard escorted the pervert out of the store and turned him loose. There's a lot of local news stations in Phoenix, you might need to use Google and see if you can comprehend what someone writes?

I had read it in an article on Fox News. The biggest point here is: will your daughter be better off with you in prison or with you at home? Statistically speaking, she will be better off with you at home. Life is one giant chess game, only looking to one move ahead has probably landed this guy in prison. While I'll agree that what the perpetrator did was not positive, and that he needs to go to jail, does he deserve to die? Ie., what was his crime that determined he should die? In this case, no jury would convict him AND sentence him to death, so what gave the girl's father the right to do so? Did the deceased actually commit a crime, or was he just really creepy?

Let me share a story: When I was 4, my dad was playing at a club that was packed with fans. I was being passed around for hugs and good-byes with friends (like people do with their friends' and family) and some random guy came up and gave me a kiss on the cheek. My father, who had done serious karate training for the past 15 years, threatened to kill the guy-he meant it and could have pulled it off. What would have happened with my life if that had happened? Where would I be today? I can promise you it's not where I'm at now.

Best. Those are good points. Vince, like this young black man, processes conflict through a cloud of macho agression. I don't mean to offend Vince, in fact, he probably agrees and demonstrates this demeanor nearly every day. He lives by a simple motto: Anything offensive gets "a bullet behind the ear". He will live at long life at his current age but there are people tougher, more ruthless and more dangerous than Vince. He just got this far without running into the "wrong guy".

How do you justify shooting a man - ending his life - taking everything he has or any future he has - because he pushed you down!!!!!!!!!!
The Gods are weeping.

What about the fella in NYC that was shoved down by the NCAA assistant basketball coach a few weeks ago? He's dead, because he was pushed down. For the record, my bull shyt detector goes off when I read this shooters story. Sounds a whole lot like the Zimmerman azz hat in FL that keeps finding himself in violent situations. Trouble is easy to find, if you go looking for it.

He was not pushed down. I saw it on national news. The victim tapped on the coach's car window. Coach got out and delivered a fist to the face. He was knocked down and struck his head on the sidewalk. He is only facing a misdemeanor assault charge. Must be details we don't know because that would normally be a manslaughter charge.

As they say, if you are looking for trouble, you can find it.

Edited to add: Just got a new release on the kid the coach punched out. Victim thought it was his Uber ride, so he rapped on the window. Charges are expected to be upgraded:

Jamill Jones, 35, an assistant for the Demon Deacons, turned himself in to police Thursday afternoon. He's charged with third-degree assault but those charges will likely be upgraded.

So now the man that died is a kid, isn't 35 a little old to be a kid? And he was only tapping on windows and not banging?
The New York Post cited law enforcement sources in reporting that a local resident confronted Szabo about the noise he was making, and that Szabo hit that person in the face. Jones, said to have been parked in an SUV that Szabo knocked on, got out and punched him, after which Szabo was taken to a hospital, only to die of his injuries on Tuesday.

Per the New York Post, the medical examiner has yet to determine if the punch allegedly thrown by Jones led to Szabo's death, and the charges against him could change. An anonymous 17-year-old witness told WPIX earlier in the week that he and the man who punched Szabo propped the latter up against a car so that Szabo "would stop choking on his blood until the ambulance came

Kid is a term that is used loosely, the victim was stated to be 35. All a person can do is read the reports. They are often inaccurate. Based on reports, the charges are likely to be serious. Again, why do people do these things. I would rather have an annoying knock on my window, ignore it and go home. Rather than have my life complicated with a criminal indictment.

If you knocked on my car window I'd roll it down a few inches and see what you wanted. All the while having something pointed your way in my lap. Makes no sense to me to get out of your vechile, and makes no sense to knock someone out and then pick him up and rest him up against a car so he wouldn't choke on his blood. This is a bad deal for everyone involved, neither party wanted or expected these results.

I could not agree more on the tragedy of this event. It is surreal. It just speaks volumes about being cautious of your reactions. I have navigated through some difficult situations, anyone my age has, I suspect. I have always been cautious and my main goal is not being the "tough guy". My goal has always been to avoid getting hurt or being indicted.

The last time I found myself in a situation that requred violence, I thought I had really hurt someone. Actually, I was afraid that he would die. Long story, but I was in the "right" and simply defending myself. I don't know how right it would feel if I ended up killing a drunk because he wanted to see if he was tougher than me. The guy had a son in the bar that was of age, so evidently he was a slow learner. Still didn't justify a death sentence. Seems best to walk away from that kind of thing if you can, so we did. Moved 100 miles away, and the only bar I'm drinking a beer at is mine.....263' from my bed. And maybe Slick's new bar with the taps and urinals right there handy.
