The pond is lower than the pasture. I can put the poly pipe around the lowest part of the pasture. It will just take more poly pipe that way but that beats pumping into a holding tank and transporting the water. Thanks for all the replys.

I have a field that we soil tested and applied what the soil test recommended. Last year the price was $575 to fertilize the 10 acre field and in January the quote for the same fertilizer was $1090. I may try and get another quote in March.

I read an article in the TN Cooperative about DH-3 annual ryegrass that was impressive. Does anyone have any experience with this ryegrass compared to Marshall ryegrass as winter pasture for beef cattle? What time do you sow either and how much per acre if you are sowing in establish pastures?
