Two thoughts for those in the drought areas

I wouldn't call that gouging either. I know there are a lot of inputs for hay producers making a quality product. On the other hand, would you call this sceanrio "gouging", or good entrepreneurialism? - Buy 4' x 5' rounds bales of hay from another state for $35 a bale - Trucking costs to...

    Diesel prices - Campground

I am NOT happy. Unleaded is going down much faster than diesel and I would like to know why diesel can't be comparable to unleaded in price. Flying J today (10-20-2008): Unleaded.... 2.35 Diesel.........3.39

    Diesel prices - Campground

A year and a half later, diesel around here is nearly a $1.00 more per gallon than unleaded. Anybody think diesel will come down to unleaded prices, and if not what's keeping it up so high? Flying J today (10-20-2008): Unleaded.... 2.35 Diesel.........3.39

    petrol OUCH!

    Around $100 dollars a week for diesel in my Dodge right now. Diesel is high, but it still beats driving the gasser I had. Dodge Ram 1500 gasser - 1000 mile trip @ 14.5 mpg = 68.96 gal x $3.50 = $241.36 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel - 1000 mile trip @ 16.5 mpg = 60.60 gal x $4.00 = $242.40 Wife's 2006...

    Putting names with faces....(pics)

Gotta have them high top boots. It gets pretty deep down in here in Texas, with all the BS you know. And you gotta have a little 'taco' in your hat to slice thru the brush.

    Hughesnet

Well, I have heard that from other people here at work too. I'm thinking about getting a Verizon card that I can plug into a laptop or my PC. Also could take it to different locations on the ranch. The only think I'm worried about with the cards is that I get little or no reception at my...

    Hughesnet

Do any of you use Hughesnet satellite internet service? If so, do you like the service, and would you recommend it? I am currently on dial up, connection speed normally 19.2, and satellite service seems to be my only option in the rural area where I am located.

    Another, Important Poll

I agree, the people that complain about insurance should just pay all their damages out of pocket instead of looking for compensation from someone else.

    Around the ranch

It is not the norm over here; however, big horns is a characterisitic of the Texas Longhorn breed. We are raising registered stock, and one characteristic of that breed is long horns. We do not focus totally on horn in our breeding program; however, it does play a big part. Yes, the horns...

    Bull of the Woods

Nice looking bull Ruslter9. We've just recently acquired a black speckled bull that I think will add some horn to our herd. He's 47 3/4" at a little over 2 yrs old. http://grangercattleco.com/jwsupervision.html
