Not mentioned to a Hetro black hereford bull too! I thought their goal was not have any red calves...

Another proof that Black Herefords are nothing but feminine crossbreds.

Those mini Longhorns are cute.

That mini Angus OMG----Demetrius lives!!!

That Red AngusXLonghorn-----really?

Do people actually buy those things at those prices from CL?
If so-----the next time I have a dink of a calf, I'm putting that sucker on CL! LOL

Katherine

I've thought about doing the same with runts. But I would be too embarrassed for my name to be associated with it. I usually just shut them up and pour some feed to them and get them presentable and run it thru the sale barn. Most of the stuff around here is being sold by horse traders that buy a calf cheap feed some hay to it and turn around and try to make 50 bucks and people that are gullible think they can buy it and butcher it for nothing. The long horns are only a niche and can see this as the only real avenue to sell them.
Me too...I do get a runt calf from time to time but I always kept them for freezer beef instead of the salebarn.

and another....

First one looks like he would be easy to work with. The more starved and hungrier they get the easier they are to work with. He[[ if they get hungry enuf they can be your best friend when you give them a little hay

Yep... makes me sad. Hay is dang expensive up here right now. We've still got snow on the ground and people are out of hay. Lots of SKINNY cattle going to market. Prices are around $100 and up for big rounds of so-so hay.

CHEAP hay costs over $225 a ton here. You are no higher than we are. We do have better hay though. It grows slower and has higher protein so it's probably worth a little more.

He has a nice topline...
Judging by the size of his head compared to his body I would say he has a pretty high birth weight... :lol2:
