    Registered Angus Females

I'm looking for 1 or 2 registered females to start my own herd. I worked all summer baling hay and sold some other toys to free up some assets. My original plan was to lease some near by pasture and to purchase some heifers from the farm I've been working for. After asking about a near by...

    Cross Breeding Beefmasters

In my opinion I would work towards uniformity. Color, polled or horned and size. Deciede where you want to be in the future. I would look for beefmaster bull that meets your expectations and help get where you want to be. I would want a more consistent calf crop before I looked in to crosses.

Where do you buy corner post

Look for some where that sells used telephone poles. Sometimes they will cut to length other times just carry a chainsaw with you when you go to pick them up.

Shepherd MT man killed by Longhorn bull

You can't assume oh that bull or cow is a _______. They are a docile breed. We all know what assuming does. You always have to be ready for the wreck that could come from any direction at anytime.

Shepherd MT man killed by Longhorn bull

Not really. They are cattle. Cattle will hurt or kill you in heart beat. It may not always be intentional but the risk is always there. I'm sorry for the mans family but maybe it will remind us no not let our guard down.

    Pictures from the 80's

It was probably a calf out of a cow he bought breed. I remember him saying he would buy a small herd of cows from time to time. Jed, you could always go to walmart or walgreens and get them to put them to a cd. It would cost a few bucks but it's cheaper than buying a scanner.

Jed, I had a friend scan them then we uploaded them to Photobucket. Photobuket works well for me because all I have is an IPhone right now. If you want pm and I'll help you post them or post them for you.

Are they more high strung than brangus? I have never had an opportunity to work with any cows with very much Brahman influence but I have heard "the stories".

Do these problems still plague the breed today? I read many people here seem to use gerts but mostly as a cross.

Thanks Knersie, I played a joke on my dad with these pictures tonight. I called and told him to check his email when he got home. I told him I found a few Brangus bulls that I really liked and to tell me what he thought. He called me right as he was opening the email. He started off saying that...
